Abstract:

This seminar will provide an overview of the MaRS EXCITE process in Ontario to evaluate new technologies before they have entered the health care system. The MaRS EXCITE process will be illustrated through the examples of two randomized clinical trials designed to evaluate the clinical and economic benefits associated with a pharmacogenomics decision support tool to guide treatment of major depressive disorder https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02466477 and schizophrenia (https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02573168).
