Abstract:

This session will provide observers with an introduction to network meta-analysis, focused upon developing audience familiarity with situations where network meta-analysis is needed to address research questions of interest to decision makers as well as the important concepts and terminology associated with this extension of traditional meta-analysis. Discussion will be driven by examples which will include content from past DSEN research.

Learning Objectives:

1. To become familiar with the core concepts of network meta-analysis (NMA).

2. To understand situations where NMA is needed (based on discussion of DSEN case studies)

3. To understand future areas for expansion of NMA Methods.
