Abstract:
This presentation will describe ongoing research to explore consumer preferences for cannabis products. Non-medical use of cannabis was legalized in Canada in October 2018, and since that time a growing proportion of cannabis purchases have shifted to the licensed market. However, there is still a vibrant legacy market. This study looks to explore consumer preferences to identify ways in which cannabis regulations may be adapted to better meet consumer needs. I will first discuss results of a systematic review and qualitative data collection, then I will discuss plans to measure preferences using a discrete choice experiment
