Biography

Ahmed is currently working towards a PhD under the supervision of Drs. Scot Simpson and John Seubert of the University of Alberta. He has a pharmacy degree from Kuwait University as well as a MSc. in Pharmacy from the University of Manitoba. Ahmed’s current thesis work involves using administrative databases to investigate the safety of antidiabetic medications. In addition to pharmacoepidemiology, Ahmed’s other research interests include evaluating clinical interventions that can improve prescribing and patient medication taking behavior.
