Biography
Dr. Areti-Angeliki Veroniki is a post-doctoral fellow at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital. Her fellowship focuses on developing methods for evaluating consistency in network meta-analysis using individual patient data, and she has been awarded a Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. She is a mathematician, and holds a Master degree in the field of Statistics and Operations Research, as well a PhD in the field of Epidemiology. Her thesis was in the area of network meta-analysis and more specifically in studying the heterogeneity and inconsistency in complex networks of interventions. She is a member of The Cochrane Comparing Multiple Interventions Methods Group (CMIMG) and The Cochrane Statistical Methods Group (SMG), and she is a collaborator of the CIHR/Drug Safety and Effectiveness Network Meta-Analysis team “Methods and Applications in Indirect Comparisons” (MAGIC) (2014 to 2019).
