Biography

Catherine Jutzeler is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Kramer’s laboratory at the University of British Columbia. She received her BSc and MSc in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Basel in Switzerland and her PhD in Neuroscience from the Swiss Institute for Technology (ETH) in Zurich. Her postdoctoral research aims at understanding how the acute pharmacological management of spinal cord injury (SCI) impacts long-term neurological outcomes. The overarching hypothesis of her research is that some drugs will have beneficial effects, while others will have detrimental effects on long-term neurological outcomes. Her work utilizes various sources of pro- and retrospective data, including large observational cohort studies and completed clinical trials.
