Biography

Freda is a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. John Kramer. She received her BSc in Biological Sciences and Mathematics from the University of Guelph, and her MPH from Simon Fraser University. Her initial PhD work explored the effects of acute pain medication on neurological recovery after spinal cord injury. More recently, her research has focused on the potential effects of specific anticonvulsants and has begun to expand into the field of multiple sclerosis.
