Biography

Hayley is currently a PhD Candidate at the in the faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. Abby Collier. She previously completed a Bachelor of Medical Sciences with an Honor’s Specialization in Pharmacology from the University of Western Ontario. Her research is focused on dysfunctional labour in women associated with steroid and prostanoid signalling. She will be studying this from three different perspectives: the use of assisted reproduction technologies, the absence of an enzyme involved in steroid metabolism, and the use of drugs which are known to disrupt initiation and progression of labour.
