Biography
Huah Shin is currently a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Prof. Helen Tremlett. She completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) and a PhD in Pharmacy, both from the University of South Australia, Australia. Her research interests include pharmacoepidemiology, medication safety and effectiveness, and chronic diseases. Huah Shin’s current post-doctoral research (January 2019-present) focuses on the assessment of the real-world safety profiles and effectiveness of disease-modifying drugs in the multiple sclerosis population. She will conduct a series of observational studies using linked administrative health data in British Columbia to investigate both long-term benefits and potential adverse effects for a wide spectrum of disease-modifying drugs for multiple sclerosis.
