Biography
Lawrence is a public health physician who studied medicine in Cameroon and obtained an MPH from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is currently a PhD student at McMaster University, studying Health Research Methodology (Clinical Epidemiology stream). His supervisor is Dr Lehana Thabane. His research interests include the analysis and improvement of health systems, mother and child health and care for people living with HIV. He is specifically interested in exploring effective methods in improving health systems by addressing human resource shortages, utilization of care and financial mechanisms to ensure sustainability and universal coverage. His thesis is related to the use of mobile phone technology to improve adherence to antiretroviral therapy and the management of chronic diseases in general.
