Biography

Lucy is currently completing a MSc in the Department of Biology at the University of Waterloo under the supervisions of Dr. Michael Beazely and Dr. Roderick Slavcev. Previously Lucy completed a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Waterloo. Lucy’s research interests include finding neuroprotective agents against beta-amyloid neurotoxicity, the role of Abelson kinase and NMDA receptor in Alzheimer’s disease pathology and the involvement of changes in neuronal cytoskeletal dynamics in pathology.
