Biography
Maxine Sun is a student at the Montreal Heart Institute’s Pharmacogenenomic department, under the supervision of Dr. Marie-Pierre Dubé. She also serves as a Research Consultant for the Center of Surgery and Public Health at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, as part of the Harvard Medical School. The foundation of her work rests on urologic oncological cancers. Specifically she focuses on access to care/disparities of care, treatment-related outcomes, comparative effectiveness, the identification of prognostic factors associated with short and long-term outcomes, and the development of models for prediction of specific outcomes. The DSECT program is a great opportunity for her to be able to continue working in the research topics of cancer, but to bridge it with other disciplines.
