Biography
Naghmeh Foroutan received her Pharmacy Doctor (Pharm.D.) degree (2005) and a PhD in Pharmacoeconomics (2013) in her home country Iran and got a Master`s degree in International Health care Management, Economics and Policy (2012) in Milan, Italy. She is currently doing her second PhD in Health Research Methodology (HRM) at McMaster University, Clinical epidemiology & Biostatistics department, and also is a research assistant at Programs for Assessment Technologies in Health (PATH) research center. Her professional interests focus on Health Technology assessments (HTAs), Health Economic evaluations (Cost-effectiveness and cost-utility analyses, etc.) and clinical outcomes research, and her current projects are mainly systematic reviews of clinical outcomes related to new medications in diabetes mellitus type2.
