Racquel completed her BSc at McMaster University in the Honours Biology and Pharmacology Co-operative Education Program. This program allowed her to gain real-work experience in diverse scientific areas through co-op internships. It was her thesis placement with the Marketed Health Products Directorate of Health Canada that sparked her current interests in the areas of drug policy, risk communication, and prescribing patterns. Racquel is pursuing MSc training in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Toronto working with Dr. Suzanne Cadarette, where she is gaining knowledge and skills in the areas of pharmacoepidemiology and health services and policy research. Racquel’s MSc research is focused on time series analysis and understanding the impact of drug policy changes and other factors on prescribing patterns.
