Biography

Simon received his honours B.Sc in Psychology from the University of Toronto, and he received his M.Sc and Ph.D in Biomedical Science (Option: Psychiatry) from the University of Montreal. His doctoral project examined the effects of quetiapine on psychiatric and neurological symptoms in schizophrenia and substance use disorder patients. Currently, he is enrolled in post-doctoral studies in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Calgary, under the supervision of Dr. Luanne Metz. Simon’s main research interests are evaluation of the safety and effectiveness of medications. Currently, he is working on a project investigating the efficacy and tolerability of prolactin for acute relapse in multiple sclerosis.
