Biography

Wan-Chun is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia and the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute under the supervision of Dr. Bruce Carleton. She completed her PhD in both pharmacology and molecular medicine at the National Yang-Ming University in Taiwan. During her training, she has focused on pharmacogenomics of drug-induced severe cutaneous adverse reactions (SCAR). Wan-Chun has a long-standing interest in precision medicine with the goal of improving drug safety and preventing adverse events. Her current research involves both pharmacogenomics and immunogenesis of the antiepileptic and antibiotic drug-induced cutaneous adverse reactions in patients with different ancestries.
