Biography

Wendy is currently a Post Doctoral fellow in the Department of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario under the supervision of Dr. Richard Kim. Her work focuses on Personalized Medicine in the area of Oncology with the aim of determining host predictive factors that can be used to maximize the efficacy and minimize the toxicity of chemotherapeutic agents for individual patients. Her current clinical research projects include studying breast cancer patients receiving tamoxifen therapy, colorectal cancer patients receiving irinotecan-based chemotherapy regimens and pediatric cancer patients receiving cyclophosphamide-containing chemotherapy regimens. Previously Wendy completed a BSc in Genetics and a PhD in Immunology at the University of Western Ontario.
