Biography

Yishu Wang is a Ph.D candidate in the Biostatistics program at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health, McGill University. She is working under the supervision of Dr. Michal Abrahamowicz. Her research interests in general are in developing new statistical methods that can be applied to address analytical challenges in epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology. Her PhD research focuses on improving methods for modeling observational cohort studies of drug effectiveness and safety, based on large administrative databases. In particular, she works on developing statistical models to improve the accuracy of time-to-event analyses of time-varying drug exposures by accounting for both exposure measurement errors and residual confounding.
