Biography
Zachary Bouck is a 2nd year PhD student in Epidemiology at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Andrea Tricco. In both his PhD studies and current role as a Research Associate at the Centre for Drug Policy and Evaluation at St. Michael’s hospital, Zach’s work aims to identify modifiable factors associated with increased risk of injection initiation assistance among persons who use drugs. In particular, his proposed PhD research will investigate whether persons who inject drugs (PWID) receiving opioid agonist treatment for opioid use disorder are less likely to assist an injection-naïve individual in their first ever injection compared with PWID not receiving treatment.
