Biography

Maxim was born and raised in Kaluga, Russian Federation. He was an EMT- Paramedic for almost 5 years, but got tired of “action” and decided to change direction to pharmaceutical studies. Maxim received his B. Pharm with honors. As a project for his bachelor degree, Maxim participated in the “Study of Pharmacist Intervention in Diabetes Treatment”. Max is working as a community pharmacist and specializes in opioid addiction treatment. Max’s main interests are Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety and Effectiveness; he possesses a strong background in Clinical Pharmacology and Medical Treatment of Chronic Diseases. Max is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in ACHORD group, School of Public Health, University of Alberta, under the direction of Drs. Dean Eurich and Scot Simpson. His thesis project focuses on defining exposure to oral anti diabetic agents.
