Biography

Nevena is pursuing a Master of Science at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of British Columbia (UBC), under the supervision of Dr. Mary De Vera. She completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy at UBC in 2018, during which she gained an interest in reproductive health and policy implementation research as a research student with the Canadian Contraception and Abortion Research Team (CART). Her masters research involves a patient-centered approach to evaluating how women with rheumatoid arthritis take medications and make medication decisions for family planning and pregnancy. Nevena is a also an active member of her student community and currently, sits as a counsellor and departmental representative on the Graduate Student Society and Alma Mater Society.
