Biography
Pavel Roshanov is a first year Master’s student in McMaster’s Health Research Methodology program. He received his BSc in 2009 from the University of Waterloo, where he was introduced to the field of Health Informatics as a research assistant at the Waterloo Institute for Health Informatics Research. His interests include designing, developing, and evaluating information systems that support clinical care processes of practitioners as well as the self-care processes of patients. A recent introduction to the world of evidence-based medicine has inspired him to search for efficient methods of synthesis and dissemination of evidence. Pavel is also a founding member of the National Student Forum for Health Informatics, a joint initiative of the National Institutes for Health Informatics and COACH, Canada’s Health Informatics Association.
