Biography

Stefan is currently a Post Doctoral fellow in the Department of Biochemistry at McMaster University under the supervision of Dr. Eric Brown. Previously Stefan completed a BSc in Molecular Biology and a PhD in Molecular Biology at Umea University in Sweden. Stefan’s interests are in bacterial ribosome assembly factors important for maturation of the small ribosomal subunit, and gene dispensability and essentiality for bacterial growth and survival.
